THE CHIC DNA REPOSITORY AND HOW TO SUBMIT A BLOOD SAMPLE

The CHIC DNA Repository collects and stores canine DNA samples to facilitate future research and testing aimed at reducing the incidence of inherited disease in dogs. Read more about the DNA Repository and how to order a sample submission kit.

TT owners are strongly encouraged to submit blood samples from dogs with diseases/conditions that are suspected to be inherited to the CHIC DNA Repository. If you have a TT with early onset cataracts, epilepsy, cancer, patellar luxation, orthopedic disorders, anesthesia sensitivity, or other heritable disease, please consider sending a blood sample to be stored for possible future research.
